Following a devastating residential fire, Expertiers was retained by a repeat client to design and construct a completely new residence. The approximately 1,400-square-foot home was purpose-built around the client’s needs, with stick-frame construction, scissor trusses, masonry stone walls, exterior siding, and custom ceiling treatments.

Delivered through a fully integrated design-build process encompassing architectural design, engineering, selections, documentation, and construction.

A comprehensive rehabilitation and addition designed to improve both the architecture and everyday function of the residence. The work included a new primary bedroom suite, reconfigured basement and floor plans, a large deck and staircase, roof replacement, bay windows, cedar siding, and renewed façade detailing.

Interior character was elevated with walnut detailing, hardwood flooring, and Pella Architect Series glazing. Expertiers managed design, documentation, construction, selections, and insurance coordination.

After a tree damaged two neighboring residences, Expertiers led the rehabilitation of approximately 4,000 square feet of interior and exterior space. The scope included structural and roof reconstruction, framing, brick walls, doors, stoops, concrete paving, basement stairs and railings, and extensive interior restoration.

Specialty work included Spanish clay tile replacement with synthetic Spanish tile roofing, basement remodeling, fireplace conversion to gas, primary bathrooms, and plaster and drywall restoration.

This approximately 3,000-square-foot contemporary urban home was transformed with a semi-custom kitchen, Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring, two luxury primary suites, a renovated basement and home theater, rooftop living, and integrated whole-house audio and security.

Expertiers delivered the project through a design-build collaboration with interior designers. The finished residence was later featured in interior design and home-decor publications.

A substantial townhome renovation paired with new construction in a historic Washington neighborhood. The project introduced a brick masonry ADU, an interior courtyard with an outdoor fireplace, an enlarged garage, and rooftop living and entertainment space.

Because of the historic setting, Expertiers managed an extensive DC Historic Preservation Review Board process, including design development, presentations, revisions, approvals, documentation, and construction.
